National Women's Health Week

National Women’s Health Week

This week is National Women’s Health week. Ironically, this event kicks off on Mother’s day. So, this week is a reminder for Women to take care of themselves. Are you ready to make your health a priority?

National Women’s Health Week

So every year, Woman look for ways to improve their health. And, there is no better time to start, then during National Women’s Health Week. In the first place, this week was initiated by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. First and foremost this office hopes to impact Women everywhere to take better control of their health.

Are you ready to improve your health?

  • First, schedule an appointment with your Primary Care Physician.

  • With warmer weather upon us, be sure to visit my Best Summertime Health Food post and plan to incorporate healthy eating into your lifestyle.
  • Indeed, one of the most important things you can do to improve your health is to incorporate exercise into your life.

Importance of National Women’s Health Week

Of course, the importance of this week is to get on track with your health. At the same time, it is important to incorporate changes into our lives to have a healthier lifestyle. When it comes to your health, you can start by making a few small changes. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep at night. In addition, substitute soda and sugary drinks for water.

Celebrate National Women’s Health Week

If you’re stuck inside during the daytime, try to get outside and take a walk. If you work at a large company, try to organize a lunchtime walk or after hours fitness activity, such as softball or beach volleyball. Another idea, is to organize a potluck lunch or dinner and encourage everyone to bring something healthy to eat or drink.

As always, I welcome your comments.

Happy National Women’s Health Week!
