NFL Playoff Conference Finals 2019

NFL Playoff Conference Finals 2019

NFL playoff conference finals are next week. After the divisional rounds, all of the games went as I predicted in an earlier post I wrote. To read more, check out my NFL Divisional Rounds 2019 post. Although the Patriots were 5 point favorites; I felt this game was a tough one to predict due to the Chargers defense.

NFL Playoff Conference Finals

Now that the divisional rounds are finished; there are four teams remaining. In the first game, we saw the Number 1 seed – the Kansas City Chiefs easily take control in their match-up against the Indianapolis Colts.

In the second game on Saturday, the game was a lot closer between the Number 2 seed, the Los Angeles Rams and the Dallas Cowboys. And, the Los Angeles Rams won with the final score of 30 – 22.

Of course, being a New England Patriot fan, I was looking forward to this game all week. At the same time, this year’s team has been up and down.

Another first was fans were treated to the first playoff female NFL Official. Although Sarah Thomas has been an NFL Official for four year; this was the first time a female was in the NFL post season.

Since I won a bet that this team would make the playoffs; I wasn’t sure how they would do. To read more about my bet, check out my New England Patriots Season Preview post.

While out with my hubby last night, I was trying to convince him to have a bet with me. Luckily, he declined. Otherwise, I would have lost as I thought the Los Angeles Chargers may finally beat the Patriots. Now, the Patriots are headed back to the NFL Playoff Conference Finals for the eighth consecutive time.

Finally, in the last game of the division finals, we saw the Number 1 seed, the New Orleans Saints play last years Super Bowl champion, the Philadelphia Eagles.

From the beginning of the game, the Eagles seemed to have the momentum. But, in the second half, the Saints came marching back and finally took the lead. And, the final score was 20 – 14.

NFL Playoff Conference Schedule

So, the NFL Playoff Conference schedule is as follows:

  • In the first game, we will see the Number 1 seed, the New Orleans Saints  host the Number 2 seed, the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 3:05 EST.
  • And, for the first time in 25 years the Chiefs are in the Conference Finals. We will see the Number 1 seed, the Kansas City Chiefs host the Number 2 seed, the New England Patriots on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 6:45 EST.

Since the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the New England Patriots during the regular season; no doubt the Kansas City Chiefs are looking for revenge in the AFC Conference game. Also, the Los Angeles Rams are back in the NFC Championship game for a second consecutive year.

In summary, who do you think will win the conference games?

As always, I welcome your comments.
