Northshore Girls Night Event May 2017

Northshore Girls Night Event May 2017

So, last night, myself and a few close friends attended a girls night event at the Hilton Hotel in Danvers, Massachusetts. Since last year, this event was held in Andover, it was nice to have this be closer to my home.

Girls Night Event

Because, it is always fun to plan a girls night out, we were looking forward to attending this. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was no swag bags were given out. As we stepped inside the ballroom; I was surprised to see only a few boutiques.

Due to my experience in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industry, I was expecting to see a good mix of offerings. Since I attended several similar events in the past, I was expecting a much larger selection of merchandise and food.

Because I subscribe to Northshore Magazine; I had some thoughts on who would be at the event. In addition, I recommended the event to two friends of mine who never attended this event in the past. After attending last year’s event; I thought this year’s event would be similar.

Girls Night Event Review

When I showed my ticket, the girls at the reception desk looked bored and when I asked a question, I saw an eye roll of one of the Event hosts.  Before stepping in the door; I was already turned off by the lack of welcome.

In the same way, tickets for this event were $35.00. Furthermore, the event was advertised to have indulgent appetizers, sweets and the regions top boutiques. What happened?

In the first place, the food choices were vegetables, dip, stale bread, crackers, and cheese. Additionally, there was a sparse amount of bites going around throughout the night.

By the same token, I viewed the Vendor list prior to the event and didn’t see several boutique shops. At the same time, there was a poor variety of boutiques. For me, I didn’t expect to see consignment shops. Also, there was too much repetitive Vendors. Although competition is a good thing, I didn’t expect to see multiple same like services.

Conclusion

When you pay $35.00 for an event, you expect to see a better choice of appetizers available as most Women are coming directly from work.

To sum up, neither myself or friends stayed too long at this event and will not be attending their future events. Of course, my recommendation is for the organizers to show more enthusiasm and have a better selection of vendors.

As always, I welcome your comments.
