Patriots Season Ending Loss

The New England Patriots season ending loss came this past Saturday night in Foxborough  in the Wild Card Round against the Tennessee Titans.

Patriots Season Ending Loss

When the season first started, the Patriots looked impressive. At the same time, there was some chatter if they would go undefeated.

However, after their first loss to the Baltimore Ravens; they started showing signs of the type of team they are. Although early on, their defense looked impressive; there were definitely some cracks seen in the second half of the season.

Since the Pats won their eleventh straight title; many thought some of their season woes were fixed. Be sure to check out my Patriots Clinch 11th Straight Division post to read more on this year’s team.

With their loss against the Miami Dolphins on the last game of the regular season; I thought this Wild Card game could go either way. Be sure to visit my Patriots Upcoming Wild Card Game post to read more about my thoughts prior to yesterday’s match-up.

In my opinion, this year’s team had its up and downs throughout the season. Typically, in the Wild Card games, the Pats record hasn’t been good.

So, my thoughts on their loss was the team showed inconsistency all year. And, last night’s game showed their weaknesses.Similarly to the statistics this year; this team hasn’t been good in the red zone. At one point, they were one yard away from scoring and ended up not scoring in two straight yardage situations. So, two field goals instead of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, former Patriot player, Coach, Mike Vrabel of the Titans pulled a Belichick move in the 4th Quarter. In fact, this loophole takes time off the clock. Something, the Pats did in their win against the Jets earlier in the season.

Will Tom Brady Retire

So, now that the season has come to a disappointing end for Patriots nation; the question is will the Pats resign Brady. Or, will Brady retire? Moreover, will Brady become a free agent in March? Of course, that is the question everyone is asking.

As always, I welcome your comments on the Patriots season ending loss.
