Recent Aruba Palm Beach Vacation

Recent Aruba Palm Beach Vacation

It all started for me on my honeymoon when I fell in love with Aruba.  On a recent Vacation, my Husband and I stayed in Palm Beach at the Marriott Surf Club.

Aruba

Aruba is a four and a half hour flight from Boston.  The island lies on the coast of South America.  Together with beautiful white sand and frolicking in the turquoise water, it is the perfect setting for a romantic vacation.  Every time we land, I cannot wait to get to the hotel.

Dutch and Papiamento are the official languages.  Sunny days, trade winds, and many nationalities make this the center of culture.  The island is known for sunshine year around.  Cool air from the trade winds makes the heat bearable.

To do

Due to the beautiful weather daily, I chose to spend my days under a Palapa.   Also,  I am able to catch up on my reading.  Many hotels employ staff to take your drink and food order while lounging around the pool or beach.  In addition, water lovers can find an abundance of options such as:

  • Jet Ski
  • Submarine boat excursions
  • Sailboat
  • Swimming
  • Kite surfing
  • Surf
  • Banana Boat
  • Parasail
  • Tubing
  • Jetpack

In addition, there are many land excursions.  Some I recommend are:

  • ATV tour
  • Guided tour
  • De Palm tour
  • Bus tour
  • Jeep tour

Since I have been to Aruba countless times, I try to take in something new each time I visit.  One ritual I seem to do each time is getting my hair braided with beads.

Where to Eat

Since there is a multitude of restaurants in Aruba, I always look forward to visiting my favorites as well as trying new places.  First night in Aruba, we usually spend dining at Gianni’s.  Due to their tableside preparation of spaghetti made with whiskey, I frequent this restaurant every time.

The second favorite restaurant is Screaming Eagle.  There is no place like it.  In addition to regular tables, you have the option of dining on a bed.

While my husband and I chose to dine at a regular table, we decided to have our dessert at a bed.

Additionally, we usually like to venture out to try new restaurants.  This vacation we tried 2 Bulls and a Fool (visit my prior post).

Nightlife

Of course, there is an abundance of happenings at nighttime.  I enjoy the Soprano’s Piano Bar.  As well as fine dining, there are casinos and nightlife all over the island.

Conclusion

In essence, nothing gives me more pleasure than Aruba.  Together with beautiful weather, Aruba is the ideal place to live.  My husband and I had the opportunity to view two timeshare locations and are looking into purchasing one in the near future.

In conclusion, Aruba is one Happy Island.
