The WHCD Fashions 2016 was on full display last night at the dinner for Politicians and Journalists. This was President Barack Obama’s final dinner. The WHCA is an organization of journalists who cover the White House with access to the President in the press briefing rooms.
History of WHCD
The WHCA began a dinner in 1920 and it is attended by the President and Vice President of the United States. The dinner by tradition is the last Saturday of April. In fact, the dinner hosts a skit or a live presentation of the President mocking himself or telling jokes.

President Barack Obama delivered his speech at this year’s dinner with one liners and laughs lampooning himself, and Congress. Furthermore, the President joked about this years Presidential Candidates and poked fun of himself with his final line of thanking the Press Corps and “Obama Out.” Entertainment was provided by Comedian, Larry Wilmore and several other television and film performers – Helen Mirren, Jared Leto, Bryan Cranston, Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, Rachel McAdams and Tom Hiddleston.

This morning as I was on my Twitter account, I saw a lot of fashions posts from celebrities and models. As a matter of fact, fashion was on full display with social media comments everywhere. Some standouts for the WHCD Fashions 2016 are featured below. Furthermore, Helen Mirren honored Prince’s symbol with a temporary tattoo on her left shoulder.

The red carpet moments featured above were stunning and tasteful. I thought Michelle Obama’s gown featured below was one that stole the show. Moreover, it was a blend of sexy, elegant and tasteful in her final WHCD as the first lady.
Some of the WHCD fashions 2016 featured below were definitely on my worst dressed list for the event. Priyanka Chopra’s gown was eye-catching yet I didn’t like her choice for a Political event. It was too sexy and risqué and it would have been better for a movie or television event.
Also Raven Symone’s style below looked perfect for hosting a magic show.
Although many styles were spot on, many others missed their mark for this event. Certainly WHCD Fashions 2016 will be getting attention in the days to follow. In conclusion, what were some of your favorite styles? Misses?
