Coordinate Food Donation Drive

Coordinate Food Donation Drive

Across the nation many people are working to coordinate food donation drive.  Due to the importance of many communities who lack the resources to meet the needs of the hungry, your involvement can help.  Furthermore, many food pantries and organizations run short on food.

Coordinate Food Donation Drive

Are you ready to coordinate food donation effort in your area?  Organize a food drive.  Coupled with monetary donations and canned food, you can host a community event.  Of course, the most important part is to pick a charitable organization that needs food.

  • Church
  • Temple
  • Senior Citizen Centers
  • Schools

So before you start planning, reach out to your local food bank.  Also, many food banks and pantries may be interested in the benefit of your support.  Many food pantries are short of age appropriate food.

Collect the Food

Plan to set up a spot for food drop off.  Also, set up drop boxes at various locations.  Additionally, partnering with an event or an activity can increase donations.  Coordinate your location with a school, shopping mall or business.  A location with a lot of traffic will help increase donations.  Consider help from others to coordinate food donation drive.

Since the more help you get, the more successful the drive will be.  Moreover, get the word out.  Word of mouth goes a long way.  Post signs in visible areas.  Enlist the help of others. Also, contact the media.  Bring the community together.  Smile.

Hunger and Poverty

Hunger and Poverty often go hand in hand.  Since many families suffer from paying for basic necessities, they count on their local food bank.  Others are barely making ends meet.  Due to the holiday season approaching, lend a helping hand. Many Seniors are living on fixed income.

Feeding America

Hunger in America is serious.  Feeding America’s goal is to lead the fight against hunger nationwide.  In essence we can all help in our own backyard by helping to feed a family, the elderly population, and our community.  Donate.  Your time and effort can mean a lot.  I have several friends who donate their time during the Holiday’s at various Shelters and Food Banks.  In conclusion, lets help to coordinate food donation drive.
