Gluten Free Diet Awareness Month is November

Gluten Free Diet Awareness Month is in November. At the same time, the importance of this month is to support anyone who suffers from Celiac disease.

National Foundation for Celiac Awareness

Originally, this month was started by the National Foundation of Celiac Awareness. The NFCA’s purpose is to provide support for anyone who has this disease.

So, the importance of this month is to encourage those who suffer from this disease to stay away from gluten found in:

  • Barley
  • Grains
  • Rye
  • Wheat

First and foremost, the importance of avoiding food with the above ingredients is critical. Indeed, no one wants to suffer from any type of health problem.

In short, the NFCA is on a mission to help anyone who has this disease by offering accessible and affordable food options; by partnering with national companies, such as Wholefoods and Walmart.

Gluten Free Diet Awareness Month

When someone is diagnosed with Celiac disease and has a sensitivity to any type of food with gluten; it is important to raise awareness. Moreover, autoimmune disease effects over three million people in America; as well as many other people who haven’t been diagnosed with this as of yet.

Not only is this diet for people who have Celiac disease; but also for anyone who is looking for healthier food alternatives.

Meanwhile, not only is gluten found in foods; but also can be found in many beauty products and other items such as:

  • Communion Wafers
  • Envelopes (glue)
  • Lip Balm
  • Lipstick
  • Medication
  • Play Dough
  • Stamps (glue)
  • Supplements

Since the holidays are right around the corner; there are many healthy food options I would like to share with you.
