Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

Saying goodbye to 2015 will be something very easy for me to do as I look forward to a new year.  2015 has been one of the worst years of my life.  For example, the year started out with a difficult decision as I chose to close my Sales Office.

Early 2015 I had my first surgery of the year staying overnight at a Hospital and late spring I went through a second surgery.   During 2015 I’ve faced many obstacles in changing the direction of my business due to health issues which have been a constant for me as the year continued.  In November I dealt with the loss of my Sister Edie which has been devastating for me.  This holiday season was a difficult one for my husband and me without my Sister Edie.  Family tension has been on high alert since Edie’s passing.

Everyone around the World celebrates the holiday at different times.   Common traditions for the holiday include attending parties, going to restaurants,  cooking special New Year’s foods, making resolutions for the new year, watching various televisions specials, and watching fireworks displays.

Happy New Year

With the New Year approaching rapidly I’m trying to put some happiness back into my life.  In particular, some of my resolutions for 2016 are:

  1. Continue to build my blog
  2. Learn more about various social media platforms
  3. Attend workshops and classes
  4. Exercise as I have enjoyed my personal training sessions at Fitness Together
  5. Diet
  6. Finish my Sister Edie’s Novel and set up a dedication page and an account for her boys
  7. Plan more outings with friends
  8. Plan a few Vacations
  9. Catch up on reading

Some of my fashion style resolutions are:

  1. Layer more often
  2. Buy quality – not quantity
  3. Add some key pieces to my wardrobe
  4. Add a new handbag
  5. Continue to add to my shoe collection – of course!
  6. Donate

As I look ahead I hope to focus on the list I created.  This New Year I hope to put happiness and sunshine back into my life by focusing on the positive.  In particular, one of the projects that I will begin next week is editing and finishing my Sister Edie’s novel – The Cort Ship.  I am especially looking forward to working on this as I feel this will bring me peace.  In addition to working on Edie’s book, I plan to continue to blog and look forward to connecting with many of my readers.

Put the fun into the New Year.  Enjoy the holiday and hope beautiful things happen in the upcoming year.

How will you be spending New Year?
Happy New Year
