NFL Fantasy Football Beginner
First and foremost, you may be wondering what is fantasy football. Well, the best way to get started is to print out a cheat sheet of all of the players. At the same time, you want to see what players will add the most value.
First, you start out by picking 15 NFL players. And, then you fill out your roster with your starting 9 players. Usually, this is one quarterback, two wide receivers, two running backs, one tight end, a defensive player, a kicker and another running back or wide receiver. However, some leagues may allow for another quarterback or tight end to bring your roster count to 10.
Now, your roster is made out. To determine the points, you enter this into an App or your computer. Moreover, the points you earn for the week come from your roster. For instance, how many yards were thrown or run. Meanwhile, a quarterback can get one point for every 25 yards they throw. And, a running back gets one point for every 10 yards they run. Of course, this can add up quickly.
When you’re picking your players, make sure your bench is composed of players who can add value, i.e., rookies. Keep in mind, you can make trades throughout the season if the Commissioner agrees. In case, you’re wondering who the Commissioner of your League is, your group can unanimously select someone.
NFL Fantasy Football Party
Now, that you know the basics, are you ready to party? First, get your friends together. With this in mind, 8 people is all you need. In addition to the draft board, make sure everyone brings their game face and is ready to play. Finally, make sure you have great food and drinks. In essence, the idea is for everyone to have a good time, yet become excited for opening day of the NFL season.
Another idea to create excitement for the season is to have everyone throw in $20.00 and the Winner gets the pot. And, if you don’t want to play for money or still want to play for money and prizes, you can gift the winner a fantasy football trophy.
Although the New England Patriots lost in the Super Bowl last year; will they return in 2019? But, don’t get emotional and pick players from your favorite team.
