Project Smile Fashion on Fire 2017

Project Smile Fashion on Fire 2017

So, last weekend I attended the Project Smile Fashion on Fire event at the Hilton Hotel in Woburn. Since the Fall season has officially started, I was looking forward to attending this event.

Project Smile

In the first place, Project Smile is a non-profit organization that donates stuffed animals, coloring books, crayons and books for Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Paramedics to give to children. At the same time, Project Smile hopes to provide all Responders throughout New England a supply of special, items to give to children to ease their pain. Their long-term goal is to spread their effort throughout the nation.

Because medical, police and fire Responders are the first individuals, children see, they hope to have something to give to a child to ease their pain.

In the same fashion, this event was hosted by Erika Tarantal of Channel 5 Boston. First and foremost, this event started with a cocktail party. I enjoyed walking around and meeting Vendors, Designers and other individuals.  I was able to enjoy delicious appetizers and cocktails.

Also, during cocktail hour I was able to view and bid on several silent auction items. At 8:00 p.m., a separate room was set up for the fashion show. The fashion show started off with a Ballet performance. After the performance, the host and organizer spoke about Project Smile. We were then treated to a few Designer collections of both Mens and Womens fashions.

Next, came an intermission. We had the opportunity to sample some desserts before heading back for the second part of the show. The second half-opened with a Ballet performance. As well as the Ballet performance, the audience was able to experience beautiful musical and acrobatic performances. Not only did the audience get to view creative fashion collections, but also see incredible performances throughout the show.

Conclusion

After the show concluded, the guests had an opportunity to get any last-minute bids on the silent auction items. In my opinion, this show was a wonderful event for a great charitable organization.

As always, I welcome your comments.
