Red Sox Fan

Baseball AttireRed Sox fan – I’ve been one my entire life.

So, the first time I remember being interested in Baseball was when my Father took me to a Red Sox Game at 6 years old. From that day forward began my love of the game.  I became a lifetime Red Sox Fan.  Hence, there began my love-hate relationship which has stayed with me my entire life.

Every year at the start of Spring Training, I read the statistics of the players.  Once the regular season begins I won’t even make a telephone call during pre-game.  I love hearing what the Sports Commentators and Red Sox Management talk about prior to the first pitch.

Of course, I’m a Lifelong Red Sox Fan!

The Red Sox are usually an exciting team.

The last five years have been more downs than ups.  Even though we won the World Series in 2013, we’ve had 3 of the last 5 years be the last place in the American League.  Last year I had heartbreak over the trade of Jon Lester, one of my all-time favorite players.  The last two years as a Fan have been rocky for me. I’ve missed more than 70% of the games both on television and at the Ball Park.  In fact, this is the first time in a long time in a long time; I can remember I’m actually not going to the games.

Moreover, the team on the field for the last 2 years lacks chemistry, excitement; and they lost me with their sub-par performance more games than not.  As the trade deadline approaches tomorrow, I’m hopeful that the team will make the right moves. Meanwhile, they need some quality pitching and players to lead them into a more exciting 2016.  Indeed, every year I hope to see a competitive team put on the field.  Baseball is known to be a sleepy sport with not a lot of action going on.  For me, I find the sport about teamwork.

In summary, chemistry can make or break a team as I’ve seen from this team the last several years.  Looking ahead to next year and hoping to see a big improvement on the field.
