Six Day Sedona Arizona Vacation

Six Day Sedona Arizona Vacation

After spending six days in Sedona, Arizona; today’s post is a recap of my vacation. When I first arrived in Phoenix; I was directed to the Arizona Shuttle. As a result of my ride on the shuttle; I learnt about different parts of the city to check-out.

First and foremost, I was looking forward to spending time with my friend, Cheryl. Also, I was looking forward to exploring the city. Make sure you visit my Girls Week Getaway Sedona Arizona post to read more. So once we arrived, we planned a quiet night at a restaurant. Before heading out, I captured the shot of Cheryl below on the balcony of our room.

For our first full day; we planned our itinerary with our property Concierge service. After that we walked around and met up with someone Cheryl met on the shuttle service for breakfast. Since I’m a big New England Patriots fan; my afternoon was spent watching the football game in a quiet place.

As you can see from our Winter coats below; the weather was colder than we expected.

For our second full day; we planned a Vortex Tour. So both Cheryl and I were disappointed in this tour. The jeep was small and we were in close proximity to four other people. In addition, our tour director had only lived in the Sedona area for a few months. Therefore he didn’t have the knowledge to answer several questions that was asked throughout the day.

After our tour; we headed to Tlaquepaque. In the same fashion; if you’re an art lover, this village is a fun shopping experience. Of course, you can find unique shops selling one-of-a-kind unique accessories, jewelry and paintings. Not only can you walk around; but you can see artists at work on their craft.

After visiting several shops; we headed to a quaint French restaurant for dinner.

A Day on Our Own

Although Cheryl had been to Sedona in the past; her goal was to see the Antelope Canyon. One thing I learnt about Cheryl on this trip is her love of hiking. Cheryl’s love of hiking was evident in her style and vibe throughout our vacation.

Although I didn’t visit the Antelope Canyon; Cheryl shared the gorgeous photo’s below with me.

Meanwhile, I’m not much for hiking. Because I haven’t been to Sedona; I took a day tour. For our first stop; we visited the Chapel of the Holy Cross.

From the Chapel; I visited Eagle head, the Snoopy Rock and Thunder Mountain.

Our Last Day Together

Ultimately, our last day together was spent visiting an Artist Market and a day at the Spa. Finally, our night concluded with dinner and our celebrating our Birthday’s.

Although the pictures shared our journey together; I hope this trip will result in us seeing many more places together in the future.

As always, I welcome your comments.
