Williams Sonoma Food Health Happiness

Williams Sonoma Food Health Happiness

Last week, a friend and I participated in a food health happiness cooking class at Williams Sonoma. Since I joined Weight Watchers, I have become much more food conscious.

When I first heard about this cooking class, I immediately signed up. Because I was familiar with the cookbook, this class gave me the opportunity to see and sample these recipes.

In the first place, this book resonated with me. As someone who is trying to lose weight, Oprah’s introduction in the book was well written and inspirational. While losing weight is a challenge, this book has many recipes to try.

What I like most about this book, is trying something I may not have thought of making in the past. Also, the recipes provide the smart point value. In addition, this book provides some easy recipes to do as well as upscale food options.

Because I’m a fan of Oprah and the success she has had on following the Weight Watchers diet, I recommend this book. Not only will you be inspired by her success and stories, but you will also benefit by some healthy food recipes.

Williams Sonoma – Lynnfield

Since I have taken several cooking classes through Williams Sonoma, I was excited to see Nolden Johnson teaching this class. Nolden’s cooking experience and stories always provide great cooking suggestions as well as entertainment. Also, each individual received a cookbook.

Nolden’s first dish he made was a Turkey Lasagna. If you’re a vegetarian, he gave several suggestions of substitutions for the turkey. Also, by using vegetables instead of the turkey, you’re reducing the calories and points.

Since the lasagna takes longer to make, he moved on to making a coconut lime sorbet and garden greens with lemon vinaigrette. Although I wasn’t a fan of the coconut lime sorbet, the lime is a nice ingredient to cleanse the palate.

The garden greens were delicious. The first thing to remember when preparing a recipe is to make it your own. Because I wasn’t a fan of the lemon vinaigrette, I would tweak this recipe. Another way to make a salad dressing is to use a teaspoon of vinegar, Dijon mustard and olive oil.

Conclusion

To sum up, food health and happiness provides some different recipes to try. With this in mind, have fun. In conclusion, let me know what recipes you have tried. Did you like the recipes in this cookbook?

Happy Food Health Happiness!
