National Vacation Plan Day is today! So, are you ready to pack your bags and head out of town? Whether you’re travelling with a group of people or going somewhere by yourself; today is the perfect day to plan some of your vacations for the year.
National Vacation Plan Day
When you’re thinking about going somewhere; what is the first thing you think of? In my opinion, one of the first things you should do when deciding where to travel to is scour the internet. Also, check out vacation packages, magazines and scroll through social media posts of well traveled people.
When I ask myself where I want to go to; I usually try and go somewhere new each year as well as head to one of my favorite destinations. Be sure to check out my Aruba One Happy Island Vacation post where you will see why this island is on my itinerary year after year.
Whenever I travel to this island, I spend the day inside a Palapa with a good book. Besides reading, you can often find me frolicking in the water with my husband and often having my hair braided with beads. Away from the water, you can find a lot of activities and great restaurants. Be sure to visit my Aruba Best Restaurant Choices post for places ideal for any foodie.
How to Plan for Vacation Day
In the first place, if you work for a company; check your company’s policy on days you have available as well as any holidays your work place is closed. Next, check your planner and come up with time you would like to use as vacation time.
Now, that you have an idea of the time you want to travel; you can start researching destinations. Is there a new city, state, island or country you would love to go? If you’re on a budget, be sure to visit Budget Travel where you will find many affordable destinations.
With the colder weather around in most of the country; now is the ideal time to make plans to travel somewhere warm and sunny.
In conclusion, make 2020 the year to check off any of the places you want to travel to on your bucket list. Of course, I will be spending today mapping out places to vacation in 2020.
As always, I welcome your comments.
